Ever heard of the drink horchata? Vape Craft Inc. captured the taste of this famous Mexican drink in Milk of the Gods. Visit vapecraftinc.com to check it out.
Horcha… what? I have never tried a real horchata, so this one is interesting for me. I did a little research and here’s what I learned.
Horchata is a beverage famous in Valencia. It is a mixture of chufas, also known as earth almonds or tiger nuts in English. The history of its name and where it originates from is quite long.
But one of the famous legends tells of an Aragonese king in the time of reconquest. A peasant girl allegedly served horchata to King James of Aragon. He was fascinated with the drink and asked what it was. The girl answered “chufa milk.” But the king replied, “Açò ės xata!” which translates “That’s gold, darling!” The “xata” became the root word for horchata.
“Milk of the Gods is a creamy caramel flavored e-liquid with a surprising twist of golden nectar and a hint of cinnamon.”
Okay, I think golden nectar here translates to honey. It is what I can see from the image on the bottle’s label as well. Here we go…
First, let us do a smell check. When you remove the cap from the bottle, you will pick up notes of caramel. Although the profile says “a hint of cinnamon,” I think it is more than that. You can clearly smell it on your first sniff. And yeah, the golden nectar (aka honey) is also present.
Second, let us do a taste test. This is quite interesting. The caramel appears into the end. At first, it feels like it is coating my tongue. I am also getting the cinnamon with a little sweetness, not the artificial kind. It tastes more like honey, to be honest.
Third, let us load this baby to my mod set at 54 watts. Milk of the Gods is pretty smooth on the throat. Yay! It is smooth on the inhale and exhale. There is no burning or tingling sensations.
On the inhale, I get some hints of cinnamon. I am also getting some sweetness from this blend.
On the way out, the caramel flavor dominates the blend. It stands out boldly. The cinnamon is noticeable at the tail end. It tastes more like natural cinnamon and not artificial. But I was right earlier when I said there is more than a hint of cinnamon. Then, at the backend, the presence of golden nectar comes out.
Honestly, I have never had the actual horchata drink before, but if its taste is close to this vape liquid, then I am quite excited to give it a try.
Milk of the Gods has a well-balanced flavor.
